Kids and Teens After School Clubs

Come and have fun in our hugely entertaining After School Art Classes. These Classes enable Children/teens to explore the world of Art and our experienced tutors inspire and encourage your Child’s unique creativity to emerge. Painting, drawing, collage, printmaking, sewing and much more…. allow your Child to explore the varied possibilities and delights of creating!(5-18 years)

£10 hour paid Termly (plus materials cost)

All tutors are CRB checked.

Small groups run Tuesday/Wednesday/ Thursday 3.45p.m-4.45p.m/ 5p.m-6p.m and Friday 5-6 p.m.

(Teen class Thursday 5-6p.m.)

Student Textile Work

Experimental Textiles-6/7 Week Courses

 

(Some sewing machine experience is required)

These courses will teach you to explore, develop and experiment with the exciting possibilities of machine and hand embroidery. Initially working from a theme you will develop a collection of samples using simple applique, fabulous hand embroidery techniques, dissolvable (water soluble fabric), different threads, couching, paper and much more! During these courses you will also look at the work of leading textile artists from which to further draw inspiration.

Intermediate Experimental Textiles

 

Wednesdays 10.30 -12.30 a.m.

This is an ongoing class for students who have some textile experience and are looking for tutorial to develop their ideas and work further.  You will be supported with guidance on design, sketchbook/inspiration development, processes and techniques, through to finished masterpieces!! You will continue to learn new techniques through demonstration.

Beginners/intermediate Experimental Textiles

(Basic sewing machine experience necessary)

 

Tuesdays 1-3 p.m.

 

This class is for complete beginners and those with some basic textile knowledge under their belt, for beginners you will learn basic techniques like free-motion embroidery, applique, couching (machine/hand), dissolvable fabrics and more and will be working on samples for your sketchbook.  For those on the course who have covered the basics you will continue to develop your design ideas, sketchbook and will be guided with processes and techniques whilst working towards finished pieces. New techniques will be introduced through demonstration.

Adults Art Classes

Art is good for you!!

Come and explore your artistic side in our fun and relaxing Adult Art Classes! Learn to draw, use oil pastels, pen and ink, paint (oils and acrylics) or try your hand at mixed media including simple print and collage.

Drawing

Most new comers start with our drawing class and once the basics are grasped move onto the joys of painting and working in colour. We will enable you to confidently develop your artistic skills and teach you the foundations of drawing-shape, line, shading and tone. This will then be applied to different subject matter, such as still life’s, figures, landscapes, etc

Painting

Working in Oils or Acrylics (or both) these classes will enable you to confidently develop your own artistic style and experiment with the possibilities of these versatile mediums. I can support experimentation within your painting to include collage, simple print and mixed media. You will be expertly guided from initial ideas through to finishing your own masterpiece!!

 

People or all ages and abilities attend our weekly classes so whether you are new to drawing and painting, feel a bit rusty or are wanting to develop your practice further, then give us a call!

 

Courses run Monday afternoon 1p.m-3p.m and Thursdays 10a.m-12a.m

6 week painting courses cost £120 plus £6.25 towards materials.

Drawing can be booked for either 1 or 2 hours (£60 or £120) plus £3 or £6 towards materials

Classes can be joined at anytime subject to available spaces.

 

Private Art tuition also available £25 per. hour
